Clowning Around Poem by Kim Barney

Kim Barney

Kim Barney

I was born in a bank - - my mother went there and made a deposit

Clowning Around

Every one of my friends is a clown;
They're the best you can find in my town.
When I get to the end,
I can trust every friend:
I am sure that they'll all let me down.

I just found that picture on the Internet a few years ago and knew it had to be a poem. If you read this poem without the picture, it does not have the same meaning. Thanks for commenting, Hank. I posted three new ones like this last night, and you were the only person who commented on any of them! Is it because they can't find the poems when I put them in the poet notes?
