Cold Poem by Josh Burnett

Cold

Call me a liar, call me hating, call me fake.
But I will never break.
Blind my eyes, make me cry, try to lie.
But I will always fly.
Wound my pride, feelings denied, commit the crime.
But I will always hold the life line.

I know why I feel so hollow.
I can't break from this shadow.
I know why my life is so low.
Because I'm so cold.

Get away from me, call me a freak, you make me weak.
But I won't let you take.
Spit in my face, I know you hate, your not my grace.
The feelings running late.
Call me out, scream and shout, I hear you clear and loud.
I know what it's about.

I know why I feel so hollow.
I can't break from the shadow.
I know why my life is so low.
Because I'm so cold.
