Come Back To Me Poem by Alicia Meyers

Come Back To Me

Losing you is the worst thing that can ever happen to me,
Losing you is like ripping my skin apart,
I don't want to lose you,
But I know that forever you will stay in my heart.
I'm afraid of what will happen,
What our relationship might turn out to be,
I'm terrified of not being with you,
Please come back to me.
I have nightmares of us not ever being together,
Not reuniting with ourselves,
Not ever knowing who we are,
This is madness to myself.
I wish this didn't happen,
With you closing your eyes and leaving me,
I want things to become the same as it was,
But I have to adjust my eyes and see.
I can't do that anymore,
I can't bare one more day without you,
I want you to come back for me,
For everyone else that you knew.
I can't see over the rainbow,
I'm not tall enough to see,
I can't look through the clouds,
But please - come back to me.
I'm screaming and crying inside,
Because I don't see you anymore,
This nightmare of you gone,
Is wanting me to throw myself across the floor.
You are a true friend,
Someone who was there for me,
When no one else was,
And now you're gone and I can't breathe.
I ask you one thing Grandfather,
One thing that makes me see,
Through light and darkness,
Can you please come back to me?
