Night captures a darkness ink black, when sound
Takes from stillness tangibility. Emerging
Now beautiful gem-stars, which bring a rounded
Diamond brightness to night-time, and surging
Toward me, as prostrate I lie, they embrace
My soul. I pluck them, and thick velvet black
Becomes holed. I fall up into space
As they race to my eye, then I lose track
Of duality. One with the cosmos
I am flying. With such beauty pain is lost.
Stunning write Fay...nights spent staring at the stars can be so lovely....Fi 10++++

My dear friend and mentor Mr.s Mangiamele used to speak of 'little flashes of enlightenment'. I suspect this poem was inspired by one of those. It is the listening that is so important - the level of awareness in which the ego mind shuts down and that the soul emerges in all its glory. A beautiful poem, bright with stars! Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Darkness, stillness and brightness(of stars) , trio sonata of night. Beautiful poem, Fay. Naseer
Night music indeed. It is in the comfort of stillness that true poetry is created. Wonderful, Fay. Always your friend, Sandra
