Commanded To Love God Because In Tragedy We Fall Poem by Terence George Craddock

Commanded To Love God Because In Tragedy We Fall

like tsunami waves unstoppable life overwhelms
tragedy can be as horrific as an erupting city volcano
tragedy can be as horrific as a firestorm forest fire
tragedy can be as devastating as sudden death of parents

tragedy can be as devastating as sudden death of children
tragedy can be as heartfelt painful as the death of a cat or dog
it is easier to love kindness close at hands than kindness distant
many troubles fall upon us searching out strength is a little hard

we prayed thy will be done God but why famine poverty wars
we were told rain must fall on the righteous and unrighteous
but why the super cell storms dust draught then massive floods

the Lord gives the Lord takes away but why take more than given
human life is a delicate flower see how it wilts in soul burning sun
human life heart treacherous body but clay easy to shatter wash away
