COMMITTEE
now you will be afraid, the committee droned
underneath my dream not even out from
behind the woodwork or the old t.v.
they drizzled on.
you will be afraid and we
will not tell you why
at least, not at this time
but leave you with a vague,
a sorrowful surmise
and a mist will settle on you
pervading old clothes.
a klieg light selected
for this purpose
you have been selected
for this purpose
but in the murk
Arise I heard Christ's beacon speak
inscribing light itself with more intricate light
and banish out of sight
beyond the camera's range
the jerks,
the whisperers, all.
you will take flight, committee,
from the green of my dream.
it's you that have much to fear
whispering in the ears of angels:
the reasons not to be glad.

Thank you. It was partly inspired by the book, and the reality behind the book of Arthur Koestler's Darkness at Noon. And also by my own spiritual experience and life experience as a Christian depending on the love and light of Jesus. I was happy to combine both elements in one poem.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
How wonderful is this piece out of the darkens came light I loved this it had overtones of 1984 and the Macarthy witch hunts of the 1950's I love your style its colours and rhythms great piece thanks for sharing
You are welcome. I guess I was speaking of something more like the vague feeling many people get that something is nagging at you when you are happy trying to ruin your happiness and I know that God created us for joy and not distress. Sometimes in dreams, sometimes in floating kinds of unanchored feelings we experience this. But the worst is when there is a political reality generating it, I agree. Thank you for your insight and appreciation. It is appreciated.
