Commodore Poem by G J Salgado

Commodore

She finally learned to love her own soul
Through it all she only needed what she couldn't see
Beneath the darkness of the deepest holes
She was the one thing they could never be
She often mourned the world for it became a lonely place
Changing with time and it was her only true enemy
Looking inside mirrors for years yet always a different face
Without fear of failure she would succeed
For years she kept looking for what always existed
Her darkness was beautiful it was what made her
Her temptations she completely resisted
Until the moment she gave into the Commodore
