Complaint Poem by Xelam Kan™

Complaint

Do not stand at my grave
and cry,
my heart still beats in you
but you can't feel it at all...
Look, the sun rises and sets
and stars whisper in nights,
Spring appears and melts in despair,
yet love stands still like heaven
and never falls,
So wait, a little more,
I hear thy agonies and pain
Like a falling star
In the dark bitter sky, or
Like a tiny, lonely dew
freezes at dawn.
And all they tune an eternal song
Of love lost and bond.
So dear love, do not complain,
wait and we will be together again.

usually PH does not allow the 'same comment' to be submitted twice! somehow they let me do it, though i only resent after it appeared to not have gone through as complete. ha ha ha....bri ;)

• (CONT.) • 3 - I’m thinking I don’t understand this as well as I’d like to, but I like reading the poem. Favorite lines: “Like a falling star In the dark bitter sky, or Like a tiny, lonely dew freezes at dawn” THE USE of “bond” puzzlesme. To MyPoemListl Bri

(CONT.) 2 - When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry I am not there. I did not die. (CONT.)

1 i too thought this different from (some) others you've written. it actually reminded me a bit of a poem shared recently with me, written by Mary Elizabeth Frye: Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. (CONT.)
