I had a dream, he cut it short
The harmony and serenity
The Devil had chosen to interfere
As my ship sailed towards infinity

God had chosen me to steer
(The Devil chose to interfere)

With tangled sails in magic winds
‘Round trip through the universe
Around the stars and back again
Like sweet words in a child’s verse

Dodging comets, meteors
And hovering near gaseous rings
Returning home to bed and then
Relaxed until alarm clock rings

Perhaps tonight I’ll try once more
To hitch a ride upon a cloud
And if my dream completes itself
The morning chime won’t seem so loud

And if my mind is rested then
(The Devils voice won’t talk so proud)
