Consolation Poem by Sandra Feldman

Consolation

Rating: 5.0

All the frustrations,
And butterfly wings
That Life's inhalation,
To everyone brings
Can be assuaged,
By a poem or two,
Especially, those saying:
'How much I love you'

CONSOLATION is a sweet poem that ties a thread around our finger to remind us whether love belongs to us or to others whom we observe, it is the ultimate consolation in times of distress. I'm glad you and your muse could compose this gentle poem of reassurance that all is not lost if love can still lift our spirits. And Bill below stretched your theme a ways further in the same transparent language you used.

Short and sweet hits the spot, Sandra. That way, you don't lose your reader halfway through the reading. A beautiful poem from a beautiful heart!

At the gates of decesion The watchers are taking note It is nothing other than love they seek to secure And to the kindred hearts, they shower their blessings And they all seem to fall upon your poetry my friend,

Bravo, Bill! Your five lines extended the spirit of Sandra's positive words thereby verifying the positive effect of poetry is immediate and lasting. Your last line is a sterling endorsement for the faith in love's power that Sandra has through thick and thin has always endorsed. Sandra's poem is resonant and you made that resonance stronger.
