Cool Bed - Poem by Lily YANG

Beside the bank of small river,
The village is very cool in summer.
Placed two high benches in wet sand,
Put a bampoo board to make a bed by hand.
On seeing sunset, we climbed up for cooling,
On opening eyes, saw dense stars dazzling.

High Mountain Memories Embedded In Soul

    always loved winter stars
in winter skies in clear sky
    Southern Alps mountains

    watching stars silent
    until cold bite
    chills shaking

    climbed
    high into mountains
    found

    a smoother place
to sleep on a riverbed edge
    laid down to sleep

    in a sleeping bag
    under passing stars
    trying to stay awake

    for hours watching stars
    run in ink black sky
    just overhead until sleep

    claimed night star watching soul
waking late in hot summer morning
in the stillness alone as summer

    river streams past whispers
    waters crystal clear golden secrets
    embedded high mountain memories

Stars Bright Shine In High Mountain Memories

    I always
    loved winter stars
    in winter skies

    in clear skies
    Southern Alps
    mountains

    watching stars
    silent until cold bite
    chills shaking

    I have climbed
    high into beloved
    kiwi mountains

    therein found
    a smoother place
    to silent sleep

    in spring summer
    warmer seasons
    mountain breath

    inhaling
    breathing
    savouring

    on peaceful secluded
    civilization lost isolated
    flat a riverbed edges

    laid down to sleep
    in a sleeping bag
    trying to stay awake

    for watchful hours
    watching stars
    run in ink black

    sky just overhead
    until peace sleep
    came quiet claimed

    night stars
    watching soul
    waking late

    in heat
    bright hot
    summer morning

    in the stillness
    alone as summer
    river streams

    past whispers
    is golden dust grains
    high mountain memories

I always loved winter stars in winter skies, in clear sky Southern Alps mountains, watching stars silent until cold bite chills shaking, I have climbed high into the mountains, found a smoother place to sleep on a riverbed edge, laid down to sleep in a sleeping bag, trying to stay awake for hours, watching stars run in ink black sky just overhead, until sleep claimed night star watching soul, waking late in the hot summer morning, in the stillness alone as summer river streams past whispers :) 10+++ is the golden worth of high mountain memories (Report) Reply
