Corrections are given
Not to push someone down
But to avoid that person
To look like a clown
Never consider it
As an insult to you
'Coz it's just something
That'll point you to what's true
Though it might hit you
Harder than a wake-up call
It's only preventing you
To make a harder fall
And at times it's delivered
In wrong different ways
Just keep in mind
It's not what it portrays
It's the force that pushes you
To reality's right path
The force that's erasing
The things that's full of wrath
Be not the naive one
And be the one with knowledge
Accept the words of correction
And choose the right passage
Avoid the door with regrets
And realize every mistake
For this will make you even stronger
To make you never break
I can relate to the poem... Accept... hahaha... kidding, . anyway... I like the poem very much... Very true... A wake-up call to what people take as insults but in reality there just helpful corrections for life... Keep writing...

This is so true and yet there are those that take being corrected as an insult. I feel if someone takes the time to correct me, they are actually concerned that I may look like a fool if I don't watch what I say in the future, but, even though I may edit and re-edit a story I will never edit and correct my poetry because like you said 'this is the way I feel.' And that is so true too, because poetry is the song of the soul, not of form and rules. This is very well written and thought out. A 10+++++ and thank you for sharing. Love & hugs, Barbara
