Count Last Summer Days (Senryu) Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD

Count Last Summer Days (Senryu)

Rating: 5.0

Just seven more days
Nature will show its new face,
When autumn takes place.

Under the blue sky,
Many geese start flying by
Leaving cold behind.

Cloaked in dark maroon
Dogwood trees are beautiful,
Near clay tennis court.

Sitting by court side,
Two cats, with their watchful eyes
Watch balls flying by.

We're on tennis court,
Bounce tennis balls, back and forth;
Count last summer days.
