Covid-19 - Second Wave - Let Us Pray More Fervently

Rating: 5.0

The winter is here and the chill is growing,
each one wants to be free and keep walking,
but the streets look so empty and lonely,
as there is a lockdown again to prevent the surging infections;
it is only at the hospitals that there is full action
where doctors and nurses keep rushing in and out to help patients,
harnessing them to ventilators with a hope to save them;
and as one keeps coming in, another keeps going out,
as one keeps struggling to breathe,
another keeps expiring and exiting from this world.

O God, What will remain if this virus continues its ruckus?
where will the people hide if the corona virus keeps chasing them?
when will children go to school or play with their friend-circle?
when will worshippers go to churches and assemble to pray in unity?
when will the streets be full of cheerfulness all day?
when pubs have youth who will sing as they drink to be merry?
when will the moon rise again freely and re-allocate
the blessing of a good sleep?
When will the sun rise again and reschedule the lost complacency?

O' Corona, have compassion on humanity,
O' Corona, have no hatred but spare the devastation
as life and health are two inseparable coins
which you must not break or demarcate
as the journey of time on this earth is irreversible
just as much as a life that is lost is irretrievable;
so, let us pray more fervently for Corona to go away
let us ask God to revert our planet back to it's glory
and to it's marvel of pre-existing serenity.
