I am crazy about snow
Playing it with my feet
Boots undone
Stars are strewn in the ground
Sewn into the white sheet
Of polished water
I am crazy about wind
That sings in whisper
As if choked at throat
Inciting me to whistle
Beady eyes watch in
Caution the freezing wings
Waiting for the wall of mists
To collapse and give way to light
I am crazy about winter
The magic of its name
That slips through me
As December creeps in
