Creators Of Righteousness Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Creators Of Righteousness

We the people.
Of the united yet divided,
Human race.
With a few self anointed,
As God's favorites and adorned saviors.
To control and rule.
Over a diminished quality of life.
While ascertaining themselves,
Creators of righteousness.
Free of blemishes and flaws.

We the people.
Collectively to represent,
Thinking and conscious creatures of God.
Are obviously not all born,
Fearing the wrath of God.
Or believe there is one.
Perceiving their love to destroy,
Has been given permission...
To continue on from Sunset to dawn.

We the people.
Of the united yet divided,
Human race.
Diversified in color, culture...
And faith kept devoted,
To religious beliefs...
That may be perceived as different.
From others to connect to One God,
Most accept.
We the people.
Of the united yet divided human race.
Must one day come together to realize,
Those who wish...
To destroy the existence of all humanity.
Are addicted to wickedness.
And poisoned to delude...
A destruction to humanity,
For whatever the reason...
Does not include them too!

We the people.
Of the united yet divided human race.
Hopefully one day will awaken.
To ask ourselves:

"Hey!
Aren't we the creators,
Of self anointed righteousness?
Developers of pretense and hypocrisy?
Fictioned out of our minds with delusions?
Well..
With these values to worship,
If we destroy our lives to know as is.
What other place is there for us to go?
That will allow and tolerate,
Such ignorance and unending stupidity!
And yet expect,
The quality of it to progress...
To further heights of demeaning ourselves."
