'Tânisi' dear reader
'Hello and how are you'
A very basic Cree lesson
I'll introduce to you

'Môya nântaw kiya mâka'
'I'm fine, how about you? '
'Môya nântaw âta wiya'
Which means that, 'I'm fine too'

'Kîkway ôma? ' Now you're asking
'What is this' are you confused?
But a rare and gentle language
Is what you've all just used.

So 'Hay hay' if you tried it
Or 'Thank you' as you'd say
Now go ahead and use it
Or should I say 'Pihkiskwê'
