Sweet Tooth Poem by Simon Gowen

Sweet Tooth

Rating: 5.0

The doc said I've a sweet tooth
Though he couldn't say which one
To try and help resolve this
I'll have to eat a scone

I load it up with fresh cream
And a healthy spoon of jam
Its in the name of science
I'll help him if I can

It's gone within an instant
Every single crumb
I think the missing sweet tooth
May be hiding in my tum

To try to say for definite
I'll make a sacrifice
I'll have to do another test
Some trifle would be nice.

So I wander to the kitchen
And I get myself a dish
And just for luck, some birthday cake
I'll make another wish

I wish my hidden sweet tooth
Would hide away for longer
I'll have to tell the doc I'm weak
But cheesecake makes me stronger!
