Cooking Instructions Poem by Simon Gowen

Cooking Instructions

Rating: 5.0

I’m feeling kinda dizzy
As I stand and cook the tea
Sausages grilled lightly,
Whilst turning frequently

I must have spun a thousand times
I make sure they don’t burn
I think I’ll eat them raw next time
My lesson I have learned

I was going to have a salad
But the book said “Lightly toss”
I think I’ll keep my sausages
And give the salad to my boss!

Great poem. Wonderfully conceived. I liked for its remarkable imagery and decent style. Rated it 10. TFS..... Kindly read and rate my poem 'A busy street' on page 1.
