Cricket News Poem by Prem Nizar Hameed

Cricket News

Batsman stood before the wicket
and soliloquized:
"Boost is my secret"
Bowler bowled the middle stump
and said himself:
"Practice is my secret"
Leaving the crease
the batsman looked at the sky
and asked:
"God, this is too much,
I offered puja before the match"
God replied:
"son, that is accounted
and displayed on the divine board,
but play well and take runs
to display on the scoreboard"
The last batsman came in
and ran fast between the wickets
but the fielder hit the leg stump,
umpire was skeptical and referred
to third umpire for decision
after waiting for a long time
the umpire called him again
but the third umpire shouted back:
"Wait yaar,
Shakeel bhai's line is still busy"
"who is that? "
"Match fixer"
