Criminal Intentions Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Criminal Intentions

New ways to save,
Tattered and shattered traditional values.
When those who break laws and rules,
Sit in positions...
Proving to all,
How easily made such rules to value...
Can turn those who attempt,
To defend them with intelligence.
Find it difficult to prevent,
Themselves portrayed these days as fools.

Practicing outdated displays,
To pretend a quality of life...
Has not been based,
Upon a thriving of decadence.
Sold to uphold criminal intentions meant.
Re-interpreted as rights of entitlements.
Defended to support and endorse.
Regardless who may feel,
Buyer's remorse.

However...
There will be few who will come forth,
To admit they wish to divorce themselves...
From the benefits of it they receive.
No matter who it is that accepts or rejects,
How truth is deceived.
Done to do,
No longer behind their backs.
But upfront and in their faces.
Distorting facts and smearing reputations.
