At Lincoln Park Zoo, we chimps learned -
Harder we worked, better the treat -
A big fat juicy grape was earned.
But the bigger chimp guys would cheat.
Chimp gals would take their play money
Way over to the grape window,
A longer and harder journey
Than just for a carrot, to go.
Near the grape window the chimp guy
Would grab the play money away,
Then approach the window so sly,
Having learned that, yes, crime does pay.
Thou Shalt Not Steal - but humans do.
We chimps have learned to steal stuff too.
