Croc's Eye - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Croc's Eye - Lincoln Park Zoo

I'm the eye of the crocodile.
I see you first, then tell the tooth
To get the others in a smile.
A snack approaches - that's the truth.
A scary, but beautiful orb.
The pupil stretched from up to down
To catch the view and then absorb
Behind the ball of golden brown.
The eye sees well in day and night,
And underwater 'neath eyelid.
And when I have you in my sight,
You turn around, or wish you did.

The eye of croc is upon you.
Be very careful what you do.
