Crossings Poem by Eddie Roa

Crossings

Rating: 5.0

Don’t change the linen yet
It’s still warm
With charm and laughter

Pat the sofa later
Let the hollow stay longer
On the silky cushions

Let the blinds stay folded
The sunbeam remains bright
Casting soothing shadows

The bud is not fully bloomed
Hold the florist’s shears
Just for one more day

Let us not be eager
To shut the gate
Not just yet

This poem says it all with descriptive yet few words. To linger as this describes is clever and heart felt. Excellent work! Karin Anderson

Warm memories of the dear departed have to be cherished for long. They have a cathartic effect in life. A poem written with a feeling heart. CP

Truly poetic. This is the way poetry should be written. I wish every prospective poet(even successful poets) read this like a lesson, understand its depths and understand the allusions created. This poem can help them.
