Crossroads Poem by Paul Sebastian

Crossroads

The long winding journey had I taken
Over life’s terrains and high mountains:
Through disappointments, hurts and pain,
Being loved, then, falling out with disdain
Friends come for reasons, some as lessons
A love cherished; a love lost in illusions

Emptiness-chased, built up my fears
Sleepless long nights and warm tears
Wisdom learned through passing years
Sure-footed my steps for a better steer
I pressed on, with a hope of a future.
God’s love and promises to reassure.

My inner-man, strengthened with a mission
Pursued a path, to achieve my life’s vision

Fleeting years gracefully danced past
Purpose-driven, persevered, doing my part
Seated me in some position, hard work earned
Walking the full journey that success yearned
Success embraced me with my dream alight
Success kissed me, my blissful heart took flight.

Mixed are our experiences as we pass through life's labyrinthine paths. At the end of long sleepless nights of tears, wisdom comes and we are able to steer our paths towards success, aided by the grace of God. With perseverence when we journey through life with a clear target in view, success comes to kiss us. Enjoyed this glimpse into the varied experiences of your life!
