On head you have the crown
of thorns, in sins of your own
burdened shall you drown.
Nothing chases after you
with sheer vengeance
as does your conscience.
The sins we commit make the crown of thorns on our head and our guilty consciences will make it bleed. No doubt, it's a highly philosophical thought.
A meangiful poem! The poet's expression in the second standa corroborates with what has been expressed in the first stanza....aprreciated this insightful piece!
