Cruel Evictions Heartless: In Ancient Empires Poem by Terence George Craddock

Cruel Evictions Heartless: In Ancient Empires

used up wandering lost souls
were cast forth onto homeless
streets into desolate wastelands

selfishness greed prospers
is whip driving outcasts
into discarded cold streets
destitute depression evictions

a legacy practice from prehistories
power to the victor go the spoils
to dispossessed death indifference
cast out vanquished have no place

historically the fallen the beaten
the dispossessed were put to death
captured enslaved worked to death
power struggles victorious erase

revolt future potential threats
delete defeated bloodlines
power rein with bloody fists
