Crying Angel - Poem by Janelle Morehart
Crying angel
Shedding your tears
Upon the souls
Of those damned
Why are you sad?
Why do you cry?
I wait and listen
To your sobbing answers
'Because I am sorrowful'
'I could not save those damned'
'I cry upon their souls because'
'I can feel their sorrow and hate'
'I wish to drown them away'
'Far far away'
Crying angel, poor angel
Sitting upon that frozen stone
Crying your gravel tears
Along and upon those markers
Markers of those long pass dead
But forever you remain
Crying in despair
Watching over those damned
Of those forgotten, hurt, abused and so much more
Poor stone angel
Cry your tears
Cry them all away
Forever to stay
Forever and ever more
To stay on that cursed place
Upon that cold cold stone
Crying forever more

OMG Janelle, this is so prophetic and true. It brings back memories I wish I didn't have. Thank you for sharing this beautiful but sad insight. Barbara (Report)Reply
