Crystal Tears Reflected In Feelings Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Flashes of light flickering in the darkness, catching sight
of crystal tears being reflected in their feelings, searing
membranes of what used to protect and keep us whole.

Now just roaming in pastimes of what we had thought was ours
in days and nights of all the yesterdays that we shared to-
gether.

Standing clear of signs that wanted to take away our freedom,
catching hold of it with memories that just will never let go
of what we had together in placid rememberings still locked
safely in the minds of our sacred hearts alone.
