Cuba's Heart And Soul Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Cuba's Heart And Soul

Rating: 5.0

I lie and wait
For sun to shine
On Cuban shores
For eyes to see
Such happiness
And misery
For heart to
Feel such
Cuban soul

I watch touch feel
Cuba's heart and soul

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I just returned from a one week vacation in Cuba. My love affair with Cuba was such that I've decided to post/repost a few poems. This is the 1st repost; a few small changes make a significant difference. I hope that you all read and enjoy this new series as much as I love writing it.

Richard, indeed, just a few small revisions make a profound difference. I am picking up flashes of Hemingway. Brilliant, my friend.

2) Any remote comparison to the great Hemingway is a huge compliment! Muchas gracias, amigo!

The 1st poem was written before visiting Cuba. After visiting, I felt the changes were a must. Next year, I'll be visiting Hemingway's in Havana. I just KNOW that Hemingway's spirit will influence my writing!
