Cuckoo`s Song Poem by Dr subhendu kar

Cuckoo`s Song

Rating: 5.0

The song may touch you
yet with smile that cascades
keeping you shined as intoned
by the warmth of the sun

leave you latching
to the love by the heart
yet a stance unequalled
by the bliss when graced

when blood flows terribly
by the winds of the love
as when subdued by the waves
the sea and mountain vast

the reason when unknown
to the rainbow of the mirth
as when life led away as cadence
by the cuckoo’s song

As I read your words, the word cantabile (in a singing tone) comes to mind. This piece is intensely lyrical and voices your cuckoo's song with sparkling beauty. love, Allie xxxx

Loons are very elegant birds, and quite whimsically unique as well. They sing songs of laughter during the warm seasons, yet remain silent through the winter months. Their melodious song, when they choose to sing, has a hauntingly mysterious echoing sound that clearly distinguishes them from other birds. They truly seem to be laughing aloud. Seeing them in the wild is an experience everyone should enjoy from time to time.
