Cut-Off From You I Do Not Want To Exist Poem by Gert Strydom

Cut-Off From You I Do Not Want To Exist

(for Annelize)

I wish that yesterday, today and tomorrow I could talk with you,
are stopped, by the government failed,

by people that do steal copper from a power-station,
that does imagine at the municipality that they do escape,

that does fail every person in my town continually,
do force a person to go to primitivism,

when a sub-station explodes and burns down
and to me they have no or only a little wit,

where I want to know how you are,
cut-off from you I do not want to exist

and I want you to know how much I do love you,
do not want anyone to resist me in this

and like this my days do pass totally lonely
when you are not in my life,

as you are special and at heart beautiful
and about these things I pray to God in His omnipotence.
