Dad Poem by Walterrean Salley

Dad

Rating: 5.0

You made me believe
That I could move mountains.
And though at times,
I stumbled and fell,
You were there
To catch and hold me;
Making sure
That all went well.

You told me that I
Could do anything
And be whatever
I wanted to be.
Dad, you were right.
And how I wish
That you were still
Around to see.

I’m spreading my wings
And embracing the sky—
All because
You taught me to fly.
