Dad Poem by Theresa Dunn

Dad

Rating: 3.3

Hello Jack, I am Theresa your daughter nice to meet ya.I know we just know each other's name. I would like to know more about you and you the same. So let's start a question game. What's your favorite color? Mine is Blue, I love Country music and Pizza to. Another question I have to ask its a doozy, but I'll ask its fast. Why didn't you want me? Did I do something wrong? I heard you like to sing so let's sing a song.I had my brothers they were the best, but nothing like a daddy's girl to put me at rest.Tell me what I did, I don't know. I was just a kid. Im sorry if that's what you need, but your the one that planted the seed. You passed many years ago, but I would like to know the answers to my questions.I need to know, maybe some other time. Now I have you my mind, I'll let you go, until another time.

i suggest that you TRY your best to accept that you 'didn't know your dad'. maybe it would have been WORSE if you had! ! ! maybe 'mom' or somebody/something else caused dad to be out of your life. yes, maybe it wasn't even his decision. ? ? ? ? ? now..........SMILE! and wipe away your tear. keep your faith in God, if it is a help; you said it was in another poem. AND, if you haven't, but 'can', get some 'professional' [or non-professional] help. bri :)

a kid doesn't 'have to' do ANYTHING to not be 'wanted'. i didn't 'want' kids, but i went along with my wife's wish to be a mom; her first husband didn't want kids and HE got his way. planting the seed is EASY (often) but it often doesn't include thoughts to 'the future'. sometimes birth control fails. lots of elements can go into the what ifs and whys. i have one child only and we get along well. (to be continued) ....
