Day Of Prayer
Sunday for Christians;
seventh day of the week,
peace for the weary heart
prayers for the meek.
How great 'The Holy City'
when sung with voices sweet
and in our minds
a Cross appears
to make the day complete...
praying with joyful hearts
the love of God we seek.
I love your poetry Joyce. I've been reading for a while now. Your style is very soothing and this poem is just as great. I love going to church and this poem paints the picture of just how great the simple pleasure of going to church can be extremly soothing. Thank you.
