Daydream 2 Poem by David Harris

Daydream 2

Rating: 5.0

Sitting in a chair as our eyelids get heavy
we drift into a daydream, imagining things
how we would like them to be.
The swirling goddess of love
running to our arms in the summer sun,
whose body glistens with perspiration.
We fall into each other’s arms,
our kisses flow free over our bodies
as our daydream takes us
to the near side of paradise.
The raptures of our heartbeats
enrapture our soul.
We are whom we are,
never wanting to return,
just hoping always to be
caught up within our daydream.
