Deadly Silence(All Souls´ Day) Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Today, on all souls day
we commemorate
our deceased loved ones
Standing together in deep thought
in front of their graves
decorated with candles and flowers
are we confrontated with the fact
that they are no longer with us
and do we share the sorrow of their loss
But filled with melancholy
we also think back
on those happy moments that we shared wit each other
wenn their lives were still alive

Standing here
by the graves of our loved ones
we also realize
that not we, but only time
can determine the years of our earthly presence
and that, sad as it may be
we have to accept that sooner or later
death will be irrevocable
for each of us
