Dear Grandma - Poem by Melissa Barber

Dear Grandma
I hope this letter gets to you up there
To show you how much I care
I think about you every day
The things you did in such a way
You always took my breath away
Whenever you would sing
It was like bells ringing

Every time I think of you
I just smile for a few
And try to remember the good old times
The times we spent together
I’ll never forget
You taught me so much
Those piano lessons were great

Even though I was young when you passed away
You have had an impact my life each and every day
You were truly an angel sent from above
For guidance and love
I turn to you
Whenever I’m feeling blue
You make me believe and see
The real me

Now I say
Thank you for being there every day
You are dearly missed
By your family and me
