Death Poem by Paul Butters

Death

Rating: 5.0

The moment I Die,
Our World will end.
There will
For me
Be
No more
British Isles.

No more nations
Peoples
Life
Or Death.

Just Nothing,
As I've said so many times
Before.

Without me seeing, hearing
Or feeling
Anything at all
Just what will be the use?

We Pray,
Of course,
That there will be
An Afterlife:

For Immortality:
A spiritual world
Embraced
By God.

Keep Praying!

Ah, a subject which surely every person contemplates, not without a tinge of fear. You phrase it elegantly and thoughtfully, provoking the same thoughts in your reader. (Me... I hope there is no afterlife, as I know I'd be going down.) . t x
