With a convulsed help me,
she collapsed to the floor
filthy and stinking.
I'd seen it all before.
With pleading eyes and
outstreched arms she;
Urinated, deficated,
vomited and died.
(The final moments of an 18 year old heroin addict.)
Oh my goodness, I can't believe it! I can't believe that you spoke out about an addict like this! This is exactly what all of the youth of today's society needs. An insight into their filthy addictions. I love it jerry. Keep up the good work.
Heart (and gut) wrenching write... I was very moved by this one, knowing someone close to me having battles with their own addictions. Great job! Lee
The gruesome reality of the horrific finale of 'spiritual queue jumping'. This one certainly doesn't pull its punches. Strong, uncompromising writing. love, Allie xxxxxxxxxx
Amen, Jerry.........'Bout time these insidious vices be presented as they are, as opposed to worrying how it will be received by those who refuse to acknowledge the tarnish on the brass! Good on you, Mr. Hughes...Solid penning. F.j.R.
