December Morn Poem by Joyce Hemsley

December Morn

Oh, a beautiful winter morning
The sky is a delicate blue.
Pale golden shrubs lend a backcloth
For the snowflakes silver-white hue.

Shades of delight blend together
Shining in the mid-winter glow
Just like those radiant mornings
I recall from so long ago.

I gaze at the pictures so fondly
And I look to the heavens to pray
Secretly hiding my gratitude
For the glory of a brilliant array.

All nature's magic surrounds me
As song birds fly over the bay
The branches are bare, I see it all now
And I welcome in Christmas Day.
