Demon On The Rise - Poem by Jacob Westerfeld

The demon's on the rise
Feel the presence inside
It rears it's head
Don't let it out
Push it down instead
Unable to control it's power
Feeling as if I'm scaling a tower
Don't know what to do
Don't know where to turn
What else can I do
When I know what I yern
I can not ask for help
I can not appear to be meek
Because to the demon
I would have to admit I'm weak
The beast wants free
I am only the host
But I am strong
At least that is what I boust
I can not let it win
I have to find a power within
Inside I reach deep
The power is what I seek
I am only met with silence
For myself I can only weep
