Demons In Their Pockets Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Demons In Their Pockets

Just to 'if' it up and wish it be known,
What it is desired that would satisfy one's taste!
Would be great.
With delusions there included.

And just to 'if' it up and wish it be known...
Not too many people would be underneath their griefs.

Just to 'if' it up and wish it be known...
This would be great.
To satisfy one's taste.

Knocking thick heads against brick walls!
Who hasn't done this as if this had been a wish,
To bang their heads as if this banging to them was a gift.

And who is seen flaunting their miseries?
With a stopping to announce,
They've got demons in their pockets.

Just to 'if' it up and wish it be known,
What it is desired that would satisfy one's taste!
Would be great!
With delusions there included.

Knocking thick heads against brick walls!
Who hasn't done this as if this had been a wish.
To bang their heads as if this banging to them was a gift.

And who is seen flaunting their miseries?
With a stopping to announce,
They've got demons in their pockets.
