Destination - Poem by Bhawesh Bhattarai

In the middle of the jungle
The cool breeze of night sent a chill to my spine
Thinking of the heavenly power I went towards my destination
The jungle was dense and deep but I went on and on
I was hungry, tired and lazy,
And there were many places where I could rest
But I didn’t ’coz there were miles to go before it was late
There in the jungle I found many wild animals that frightened me,
Once I thought to return but I didn’t
On my way I also found an apple tree filled with apples
There was no time to rejoice so I took some of them and started my journey
Rain started to fall and I became angry
But I continued my journey
And finally I reached my destination
