My Poetry Journey - Poem by Meggie Gultiano

My poetry journey is nothing and nowhere to go
Without leaving a word or two
I need a companion along the way
With you in my thoughts each day

In this square box i learned a lot and send
To click, read and comment and bend
Making someone happy and heaven sent
Learning, loving, inspiring and content

In this journey, i learned the hard way
To be strong, and make my day
Never to become bitter
But a better person everyday

The heart prints you left behind
Will never be forgotten until the end
In my simple ways, you made me special
Thanks for walking with me
In my poetry journey.

When the dawn seems dark and dreary
I hope and pray that HE will never leave me
I have to walk fast in this poetry journey
Till you see me the person you wanted me to be.

Thank you, my friends in poetry
Nothing could take this love from you and me
Drop by, read, click and comment
Leave something of yourself, and make a little difference

Quite a profound way to asses one's own accomplishments and at the same time show the appreciation to those who were of any assistance. Beautifully penned and well rhymed too. X (Report) Reply

Very remarkable poetry journey along with the fraternity of poets. All learning some thing daily from each other, thereby adding own maturity and advancing in the understanding of the Rhythm of Life.
Beautifully conceptualized poem. Thanks for sharing.10+++

    read mine...not as family & women's right

    You give me call
You will not face a wall
I shall save you from possible fall
Take it from me as gesture small

You will find world so infesting
    Thoughts and ides worth investing
It may prove as ground testing
Seeding in deep for worth harvesting

The poets' journey through matter to soul,
    It has no scope for a double role;
    A common platform PH provides,
All colors and creeds in One confide.

All of us are on a piligrimage,
    Different countries, variant age;
We all come here with new tales,
    One another with bliss regale.

We are the piligrims of the soul,
In One SouL our bodies roll.

Your poetry journey is every poet's journey, that is, being a companion and voice for those who walk alone without a voice- not to judge-because of one's personal convictions but, to focus our attention on the elements of poetry, with an understaning and respect for each poet's contribution to the art. Thanks for sharing this lovely poem. (Report) Reply

The journey of a writer can often be a lonely one. I enjoyed reading of your journey and hope you continue to enjoy the companionship of your fellow travellers.

Worthwhile thoughts and sentiments for all of us poets. Thanks. We travel with you on your journey even though you may not be aware of our presence. So many have already chosen to join you on your journey and make their presence known. (Report) Reply
