Destroyed Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Destroyed

Rating: 5.0

you became helpless
your family was killed
you watched them dying
one by one before you

you begged for their lives
they laughed at you
they spared you for
you were beautiful

they would take you later
when no one would be
watching
when you were alone
when night could not
hide you

when the moon was helpless
and the police was sleeping
peacefully inside the post
and the soft wind would
not be so soft as it could not
suppress your helpless wail

next day newspaper would
have the cover story
one more rape and murder
in the open street at night

police is looking for the culprits
it is still in the job

What a deeply poignant and gripping write. The world is infested with heinous crimes committed by dark souls. We must be vigilant to conquer these evils Brilliantly penned.
