please sun come again in spite of lora's bad mouth and gin! ! !
An interesting poem, Lora, oozing with imagination. Thought i was the only one that had chastised the sun. Sunrise often came round too soon for me, in my younger days, especially after a few drinks the night before. Too long has it thrown flaming knives at my heart! ........ I like this line. Enjoyed the rhyming, Lora. Well done.
favorite lines so far: “Slowly, its ribbons of light were unwinding, But so pale, they could hardly be called blinding, ” and …… “Its flames be extinguished, leaving but embers, Crying for the past glory it remembers, ” ……………………is there no end to your rhyming ability? ? GREAT story (fiction, RIGHT?) AND great rhyming throughout! BRI’s RESPONSE: Pity the Moon Now that Lora has made up with the Sun, I’ll bet her next move, for Moon, won’t be fun. She’ll nag him to death, or certainly to fear, and, with his green cheese, the Moon will drink beer, AND not rise in the sky for near a fortnight, until the Moon is satisfied that Ms. L’s out of sight. I’ll send this one of Lora’s to my/our November “a showcase for PH poets”, Section C. thanks in advance. bri :)
An intense penning where your pains were oozing in anger and helplessness, but realizing it you wished the sun to rise usually at the end. Very nice Lora. Yes, I believe you have every right to express your dissatisfaction too. Read my to day's poem and the latest ones.
