Different turn

I tried to understand
and stood on my own
you were bent upon
to win my heart kingdom

I never wanted safety
and always prayed an almighty
to sand fast in your path
up to the last breath

you had an apprehension
and confusion too
I vowed not to part in any circumstances
but I saw a dejected soul in you at once

you decided to be single
as if you were the simple individual,
not the one I had thought about strong people
who left the scene without any struggle

How could I think to return?
When you had made the different turn
It was not my choice
You had reneged on the promises
