Disappear Poem by Michael Smith

Disappear

Rating: 5.0

We need to talk.
I hear this a couple of days later.
Apologizing for her words.
Still wonderin' what made her.
Made her still want me.
To desire me apart of her life.
Have I really moved on so quick.
From the female I've once called my 'wife'.
She cried that night.
I thought I would too.
But I didn't.
I've moved on.
And all I can say is why is that so hard for her to do!
I have no intention of takin' her back.
She needs to snap back into reality.
And get her life back on track.
Cause I'm true to my word.
Though I love her still.
But what she's said & done.
Changed my warm heart to a one with chill.
Sorry, but I have no sympathy.
We both need to move on.
Cause the feelings may be there.
But the motive & the future is long gone.
You do you, while I do me.
We can still be friends.
But the love I have for you.
Will drain right out of me.
Don't cry over me anymore!
Cause believe me I still care.
You threw it back in my face.
And did me wrong.
Your bond with a love so strong.
Will sadly disappear.

P.S. 'Goodbye means Forever.'
