Disappearing Into Poetry - Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Tossing and turning in the middle of morning, feeling
empty and defeated, having nothing to live for now.

A promise of lasting love has been torn from me in an
instant.

Left alone to live a life of emptiness and abandonment
only, disappearing into my poetry, the only love I have.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Sometimes I just think of something instantaneously then write what I think it would feel like. Not necessarily having happened to me at all.
